Description: Lamo is an endangered and unwritten Tibeto-Burman language spoken by around 2700 people in eastern Xizang Autonomous Region. Facing rapid language shift due to modernization and the influence of larger languages, its intergenerational transmission is broken, making urgent documentation a priority. This project will create an audio-visual corpus of natural discourse, focusing on narratives and conversations. The annotated recordings will provide the empirical data for my PhD thesis on the grammar of Lamo, and the documentation will serve as an accessible resource for the speaker community and future research.
