Depositing collections

ELAR is the home archive for projects funded through the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP); grants from which include funding for archiving materials. However, ELAR also accepts collections of endangered languages from documenters, linguists, other researchers, and community members regardless of the funding body associated with the project.

If your materials are in analog format (e.g., cassettes, reel to reel) and need to be digitized, we can also provide digitization services.

We recognise that all situations are unique so please contact us via email at to inquire about depositing with ELAR, seeking funding for archiving, and/or determining if ELAR is the best archive for your materials.
